
Mr. Shamsul Alam is a distinguished businessman, the Director of Bengal Group of Industries and Managing Director of Bengal Adhesive and Chemical Products Ltd, a leading well-known industrialist in Bangladesh. Born on September 20, 1978, in Dhaka, he is the third son of Mr. Morshed Alam and Mrs. Bilkis Nahar. His Father Mr. Morshed Alam Chairman of Bengal Group, RTV, and Markentile Bank PLC. Also, he is a former Member of Parliament and a Commercially Important Person (CIP).
He completed his Secondary School Certificate in 1993 and Higher Secondary Education in 1995, followed by a degree in commerce. This educational background gave him a solid understanding of business principles and economic theories. In 1995, at a young age, Mr. Shamsul Alam was elected as the Board of Directors of Bengal Group of Industries, marking the start of his impactful career.
Beyond his significant role at Bengal Group, Mr. Shamsul Alam has made notable contributions to the banking sector in Bangladesh. He serves as a director of Bengal Commercial Bank PLC and MBL Asset Management Ltd., where his innovative thinking and visionary leadership have played a role in the bank's growth and success.

He is a member of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Bangladesh Adhesive Manufacturers Association (BAMA), Bangladesh Foam Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BFMEA), Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA) and member of Gulshan Club Limited (GCL).
